Telltale brings Law & Order to LA

18.04.2011
Telltale Games has just announced that it's bringing the world of Law & Order: LA to their range of episodic games. The new series will follow Detective Ricardo Morales and Tomas "TJ" Jaruszalski through a series of cases in LA, and will feature interrogation, criminal investigations and courtroom drama -- as well as cast members from the series reprising their roles in the interactive episodes.

"Law & Order: LA fits very well with the style of episodic entertainment experiences Telltale has been building since our very first days," said Telltale CEO Dan Connors. "The talents and skills that we've been building at Telltale are ideally suited for the structure and storytelling approach of televised procedurals like Law & Order."

He's right; what better format for episodic gaming than an adaptation of an inherently episodic property?

"Telltale's attention to the details and nuances of the source material in the games they develop, combined with the drama of their episodic storytelling, is a combination that game-playing fans of the Law & Order franchise will love," said Bill Kispert of Universal Partnerships and Licensing.

Sounds like a match made in heaven. Expect rather less in the way of Psyche-Locks and vaguely supernatural happenings than the Ace Attorney series, and more "ripped from the headlines" storylines. You can sign up for more information about the upcoming series over at .
