Study: Asia-Pacific IT market to hit $507B in 2007

25.01.2007
The Asia Pacific ICT market -- Japan having the bulk share of the market -- is expected to reach US$507 billion and will grow by 11 percent driven by both foreign and domestic consumption of ICT services in the region, according to research and advisory firm XMG Inc.

Three major trends that will drive the ICT market are mobility, interoperability, and interactivity. There has also been growing interest in the integration of enterprise-level infrastructure towards the merging of telecommunications and information technology.

Five countries lead the growth of Asia Pacific's ICT market: China, India, Korea, Australia, and Pakistan. These five countries will see continued growth in overall ICT spending for servicing both the local and global market.
