The subscription-based service includes tracks from Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI Music as well as independent labels. According to Sony, the service will initially offer 6 million tracks.

Music can be played using Internet-connected devices including current Sony network-enabled TVs, Blu-ray players, PlayStation 3 consoles and PCs.

Basic subscriptions cost $4.99 per month, while "premium" subscriptions cost $12.99. The former acts as an "infinite ad-free radio station" that lets you choose the artist or genre to listen to, while the latter offers access to "premium" channels and the ability to play individual songs on demand.
