Scrapped Star Wars had Sith Obi-Wan

Kotaku has unveiled a wave of interesting media coming from Free Radical in the wake of the developer's mass layoffs, possible shut down, and lack of continued involvement with the Star Wars Battlefront series. The most interesting, is a look at of a Sith-aligned Obi-Wan Kenobi. Although it flies in the face of all Star Wars canon, there's no denying that a dark, decrepit version of Alec Guiness's classic character is way, way more awesome than anything introduced in the prequel trilogy.

Also flowing from Free Radical to Kotaku recently was bootlegged trailer of the game, apparently taped during a development meeting. Featuring a high-res, new-gen version of the Battlefront engine we've come to know and love, this proprietary engine allowed character to segue from ground combat to -quality air combat. Development of Star Wars Battlefront III is reportedly continuing under the steady hands of Rebellion Developments, the developer of the PSP Battlefront game . The engine and the Obi-Wan render are Free Readical's property, but only time will tell if they adopt similar development ideals.
