Dave Caolo's got a very interesting rundown of the iPad's development, beginning with the Telautograph created by inventor Elisha Gray in 1888. Yeah, I don't know if "brief" was the right adjective for this.

The talked to all the major carriers about . AT&T, of course, declined to discuss the details of pricing, as did Verizon. Sprint, however, said that it remains "committed to our unlimited data and that means not charging for data consumption based on the application." Which, for those of you scoring at home, makes the game Sprint 1, AT&T and Verizon -512345718.
