Release 2.0 ihrer Unix-Implementierung UTS/580 will die Amdahl Corp. bis zum Sommer 1988 fertigstellen. Die Software läuft auf IBM-kompatiblen Mainframes; neben mehreren Kommunikations-Controllern werden SNA, X.25, Ethernet und TCP/IP unterstützt. Die neue Produktfassung wird laut Anbieter Posix-kompatibel sein.
