Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver will be hitting shelves this spring, as J.C. Smith, director of marketing for The Pokemon Company International, showed off a short preview clip of the upcoming -bound RPG title to hundreds and hundreds of Pokemon fans and competitors at the World Finals of the . This of the best-selling Gold and Silver titles will be emptying wallets worldwide in Spring 2010, according to Smith's presentation. No exaggeration: the cheers were deafening.

For people new to the news, the rumored remakes of Gold and Silver were first hinted at by a Pokemon 10th Anniversary show on . Just two days beforehand, the existence of the remakes was by a collection of sites including Yahoo Japan, with Nintendo of America filing a trademark for HeartGold and SoulSilver .

Speaking of which, the Pokemon Video Game Championships ended with a bang, as the top spots in both the Junior and Senior divisions saw lots of competition from Pokemon trainers hailing from America to Europe to Japan. While plenty of were in attendance during the semi-finals, everything narrowed down to a select handful of trainers from Team America (including Grace Beck and Jeremiah Fan) and even more from Team Japan (along with champion Kazuyuki Tsuji and Tasuku Mano).
