SAN MATEO (IDG) - AT&T Global Informations Solutions (GIS) bringt neue PCs der Baureihe "Globalyst" fuer Grossunternehmen auf den Markt. Nach Informationen der amerikanischen Zeitung "Infoworld" werden vier Modelle vorgestellt, vom 486-PC in einem kleinen Tischgehaeuse bis zum Rechner mit Pentium-Prozessor im Standgehaeuse.

AT&T GIS (vormals NCR) wird als Betriebssystem Netware von Novell und Windows for Workgroups anbieten, sowie OS/2, Unix von SCO, Windows NT und Unixware von Novell. Alle Geraete werden Microsofts "Plug-and-play-Standard" fuer ISA-Karten unterstuetzen. Laut AT&T- Manager Pat Moorhead kann der PC erkennen, welche ISA-Adapter (entsprechend dem Plug-and-play-Standard) installiert sind und informiert den Benutzer, welche Software zum Betrieb noetig ist.
