Oracle and Tech Pacific Expand Channel Strategy

Oracle in conjunction with its distributor Tech Pacific (India) Limited desires to expand and further cultivate its partner base in India. The Software vendor announced a unique program that will encompass more resellers (who are not selling Oracle offerings at present) of Tech Pacific to tap the mid-market and SMB segment. "The 'Remarketer Program for Resellers in India' helps partners grow their business with our extensive range of offerings (Database, Middleware and Applications).It is an easy to start process for them to start Oracle Technology Products in their portfolio. The wide spread mid-market segment including SMBs forms a huge untapped potential market for resellers/System Integrators," informed Sukhdeep Singh, Senior Director, Distribution and Commercial Channels Sales, Oracle Asia Pacific. The 1-Click Ordering process facilitated between Oracle and Tech Pacific under the program will speed booking orders by new resellers within 24 to 48 hours. "It reduces the sales cycle and the crucial credit lines for partners. This will aid them to increase deal size and add services revenue with faster transaction period between them and Tech Pacific,"he added.

Tech Pacific (India) Limited, a subsidiary of Ingram Micro USA.A value partner for Oracle since past 6 years ,the company sells the vendor's offerings across 35 Indian cities through 200 channel partners. With 42 branches and 10,000 plus registered partners, Tech Pacific is confident to identify and authorize many partners to start selling Oracle offerings. "These partners would be selected on Pan- India basis having technical expertise of software /software based applications and Oracle-Savvy customer base. Once they come under Oracle --Tech Pacific ecosystem, they will be trained and certified like OPN partners,"said Sanjay Achawal, Director, Enterprise Business Group, Tech Pacific (India) Limited. The zero fees and low entry barrier will lure partners towards this program as per him. The appointment of new partners as authorized Oracle partners will be an ongoing process and not time bound, he added.

The differentiator factor of the new program is the order fulfillment of an order from remarketers/resellers within 48 hours through close co-ordination of Oracle and Tech Pacific. "This fast, efficient and streamlined online customer experience will instill more faith of the end user in their reseller. The order execution will be communicated quickly once the deal is done to customers with reseller in loop to ensure transparent business practices,"said Singh. Database applications are our main offerings which is not vertical specific and is need of an hour for verticals like telecom, BFSI, manufacturing amongst others, he added. "Today,Mid market and SMBs are fast adopting software applications to increase business efficiency. Thus the new program with newer partners will help us dwell deeper in Indian markets,"he said.

Oracle is addressing channel community across six cities with Tech Pacific to make them aware about this new initiative. The set of new partners will be sub set of our 10,000 plus registered channels. "We are not fixing a number of new partners to be appointed as we want to embrace partners fit for Oracle offerings," clarified Achawal.Resellers can up sell/cross sell Oracle technology products in existing and new customers. "The addition of new partners will not affect the channel profitability as SMBs and Mid market is a vast market and every partner having their technical expertise / vertical focus," expressed Singh.
