The video clips show off some new features such as main character Alex's ability to glide over the cityscape, as well as a new move which enables Alex to leap into the air, then plummet down and obliterate anything that happens to be below (in this case, an army tank). Prototype is currently slated for an early April 2009 release.

Dying to see Activision's recent updates to the Crackdown meets inFamous action game ? The sharp-eyed editors over at Shack News caught some Wednesday morning when someone accidentally posted a Prototype site update before launching the countdown clock which now resides in place of the leaked assets.
