Seth Weintraub of has received a delivery notification confirming that the new iPad will be delivered to him via UPS on 16 March.

Two things are interesting about the delivery note - firstly, the device is referred to as "iPad with Wi-Fi 16GB - Black (3rd generation).

Secondly, the tracking information provided by UPS shows that the unit was prepared for delivery in Chengdu, China - the location of a plant where a deadly explosion occured in May 2011.

According to , other customers are receiving notifications too, with similar reports on too.

Those of you in the UK who haven't pre-ordered a new iPad yet, though, don't stand any chance of having the device delivered on 16 March as all models now show a wait of two to three weeks on the Apple .
