Steven Hasani, CEO of NetLeverage, said supporting remote sites can be a problem for IT managers.

"Systems need to be backed up, supported and upgraded on a regular basis," Hasani said.

"Databases need to be kept [synchronized], and standard operating environments need to be maintained."

The product, dubbed ThinPoint, supports load balancing, application publishing, shadowing and seamless Windows publishing.

NetLeverage claims Thinpoint is bandwidth-friendly and inexpensive, as third-party licences and support staff are not required.
