On Monday, Microsoft announced that it was expanding its (BPOS), which is part of Microsoft Online Services, to 19 additional countries in Europe and Asia on a trial basis beginning Monday and lasting until April when the services will go live.
BPOS includes Exchange, SharePoint, Office Communications and Live Meeting.
The trial beginning now, however, only includes Exchange and SharePoint.
Office Communications Online won't be available for trial until the end of March, according to John Betz, director of the business online services group at Microsoft.
Exchange and SharePoint have been available since last fall to companies in the United States. In November, Microsoft said it has 500,000 users of its BPOS services. The company did not update that number with Monday's announcement.
