Last week, Motion, an office automation company in South Africa, said that it has rebranded and initiated a renewed focus on its business.

Motion MD, Brett Furlong, says that this renewed focus sees the company offering a wider portfolio of product to its customers, after it broke its exclusivity ties with Xerox last November.

Motion unveiled its expansion plans with branch rollouts in Johannesburg this year, and further growth into the Pretoria and Vaal areas in 2006. Further expansion into the rest of SA will happen over 2007 and 2008, after which Motion hopes to have a presence in most major cities and towns in the country.

Molefi Moloantoa, director for Motion Boikanyo, Motion"s black empowerment partner, also unveiled the company"s empowerment strategy, saying that Motion plans to engage in empowerment on multiple levels, including employment equity, uplifting women and working with a number of NGOs.
