Miyamoto reveals new Zelda title coming to Wii in 2010

While Nintendo announced some fun new titles for their systems at this years E3, something was missing in the form of a blonde haired, green tunic wearing hero. Yet, fans of can have something to look forward to, as Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that an untitled Zelda title is in the works and will arrive on the Wii sometime in 2010.

Miyamoto expressed great interest in incorporating the Wii MotionPlus for things like swordplay and archery. The title may in fact require the MotionPlus to play, if the new peripheral proves a hit with consumers.

During the discussion, some new artwork was revealed showing an older, more mature looking Link barely visible through a broken wall. In the image, Link's back is to the viewer and a short girl stands in front of him, wearing a long robe, crystal necklace and is emanating a blue aura. Reports say the image is reminiscent of Zora from .

Apparently Miyamoto was hoping to showcase the upcoming game at their media briefing, but his development team wanted to focus on the concept and design of the game more before revealing anything.
