MightyMeeting

Depending on the culture at your company, meetings are either tolerated or detested. MightyMeeting doesn't remove the need for meetings altogether, but it does reduce some of the stress around trying to organise the technology to run one.

MightyMeeting is a browser-based platform that hosts web meetings and slide presentations. Users upload PowerPoint presentations or images, which can then be viewed and discussed inside an HTML5 meeting interface.

Integration with the enterprise cloud storage provider Box means you can keep all your files in one place.

Meeting rooms have simple IDs which consist of the username chosen at sign up. Guests join the meeting by typing in that username, no other account registration is required.

Once logged in, slides can be flipped through, and users can discuss the content using an instant messaging box, or over voice. The best part of MightyMeeting is its ubiquity across the major platforms. There is an iPhone and iPad app, an Android app, and the web app which can be used by any HTML5-capable browser.

One drawback is that there is a very noticeable lag between the host changing the slide and it updating on the guests' devices. But this lag isn't uncommon in remote meeting apps, and the speeds are otherwise very acceptable.
