Midway, which is currently over US$200 million in debt, included the news about a new Mortal Kombat video game in a press release detailing the shipment figures for MK vs. DC.

"We're already hard at work on our next version of Mortal Kombat, and look forward to being able to reveal more details in the future," says Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon.
