At an event in Bangalore, Microsoft India unveiled 'Windows. Life without Walls' -- a holistic digital life experience across the PC with Windows Vista, mobile with Windows Mobile and internet with Windows Live. The event showcased four experience zones spanning memories, connectedness, family safety and productivity. The experiential zones displayed multiple day-to-day life scenarios in which Windows enables consumers to seamlessly integrate across the PC, mobile and internet, thus enriching their lives and allowing them to leverage technology to do things their way.

"I am pleased and privileged to share Life without Walls where the PC, mobile and internet converge seamlessly to allow people to discover easier and simpler ways of connecting to each other with Windows, the language of a billion people across the world," said Hemant Sachdev, Joint Managing Director, Consumer and Online, Microsoft India. He further added, "Today, in addition to our original vision of a PC on every desktop and in every home, we envision a smarter phone in every hand, internet access for everyone, everywhere and entertainment devices and experiences that enrich people's lives and help them connect better with each other. Truly a Life without Walls -- where the device, the place, the application all come together seamlessly."

At the event today, Microsoft India also announced the next generation of Windows Live, an integrated suite of online services that make it easier and more fun for consumers to communicate and share with the people they care about most. The new generation of Windows Live delivers services and experiences that will enhance how consumers connect across the PC, Mobile and internet, while on the familiar Windows platform. Multiple third party social networking sites have been integrated apart from other cool changes to instant messaging, email, photosharing and Live Skydrive that now has 25GB of storage space. The next generation Windows Live also includes Windows Live Essentials, free downloadable software that enhances consumers' Windows PC experience by helping them simplify and enjoy digital content scattered across diverse form factors. The new Windows Live can be found at www.home.live.com and from the mobile on www.mobile.live.com.

Commenting on the new Windows Live suite, Hemant said, "Windows Live is the single place where people using our e-mail, messaging, photo-sharing and services can stay connected. Besides giving them a central place to organize and manage their information, Windows Live provides them a range of services and applications designed to work together across the PC, phone and internet, and the flexibility to decide how, when and where they can best use these services in their lives."
