MAG beta extended

23.11.2009
Zipper Interactive over the weekend that the beta test for the upcoming PS3 shooter has been extended into next week. If you are part of the program you will be able to participate for longer, and if you are still on the fence about pre-ordering the game (which affords access) maybe the extra few days will prompt you to go for it. Here's what Zipper community guy Jeremy Dunham said this weekend.

It may be an overused expression, but the phrase, "Because you demanded it" absolutely applies to what I'm about to tell you. Yes, shooter fans, as cliched as it may sound, because of your overwhelming requests to extend our beta period, we've gone ahead and done it. Originally scheduled to end on November 20, the MAG Beta 4 program will continue on through the weekend and into early next week.

The game is still scheduled for release on January 26, 2010.

One thing to note for GameStop pre-order customers: If you have already redeemed a physical beta pre-order voucher prior to November 20, then you won?t need to take any additional steps to participate in the extension or our next beta beyond an additional download once the upgrade has gone live. In order to qualify for a working pre-order beta code after November 20, however, you'll need to secure your pre-order through the Gamestop.com or EB Games websites - in-store pre-orders made after November 20 will no longer support our beta code promotion.
