The 32-bit Audio Unit bridge, used to keep old Logic plugins working in 64-bit mode, now boasts "improved stability" for a less crashy experience overall. Logic Pro 9.1.1 also adds 64-bit support for Novation's MIDI control application and Euphonix's Ethernet-based MIDI control protocol.

Unlike the 9.1 update in January, Logic Express users aren't left out in the cold this time. Logic Express has also received an update to (which curiously skips over version 9.1). The 9.1.1 release adds support for 64-bit native mode on Mac OS X 10.6.2 or later for smarter memory management and better performance overall. With that comes compatibility with 64-bit Audio Unit plug-ins.

Some fixes from Logic Pro 9.1 have finally made their way to Express, such as support for file names with over 32 characters and properly mapping samples when using the "Contiguous Zones" option in the EXS editor.
