Left 4 Dead 2 demo: 10/27 for pre-orders, 11/3 for the public

Valve dropped a press release this morning confirming the release date for the anticipated Left 4 Dead 2 demo as November 10th.

The company is once again pursuing a tiered release schedule for the sneak peek, offering customers who pre-ordered early access on October 27th. PC players and XBox Live Gold accounts get to take a look on November 3rd, while the unwashed masses wait another week before they get a crack at the new content.

Rather than revealing a highly-anticipated level like Dark Carnival or Dead Center, the demo will feature a custom gameplay experience from the Parish campaign, set in the French Quarter of New Orleans. No content cuts have been made for the demo release, so players can join with three friends to experiment with the full weapon list against new special Infected like the .

No word yet on whether or not Valve intends to remove the demo after retail release (like they did with the .) Look for Left 4 Dead 2 on store shelves November 17th, a week after the demo is released on XBox Live.
