Tokyo-based JCB has adopted RSA FraudAction to help provide real-time protection against online fraud and phishing attacks, said RSA, the security division of EMC.

JCB is a major global payment brand and leading credit card issuer and acquirer in Japan.

RSA FraudAction is designed to find and shut down phishing attacks and other activity perpetrated by online fraudsters. It has been adopted by more than 320 companies worldwide, including many large financial institutions who deal with the same challenges as JCB.

RSA's anti-fraud analysts reduce the lifetime of a phishing attack from about 115 hours to an average of five hours, claims the vendor.

Fraudulent activity

"We believe having the innovative RSA FraudAction service working on our behalf to find and shut down fraudulent activity targeting our business online is an essential measure of security," said Masahiro Ogushi, senior vice president of media and channel management department, JCB.
