iOS 5 Beta 3 Jailbroken, Hack Available For Download

12.07.2011
Following the developer release of Apple's iOS 5 Beta 3 (see the further by GeekTech's Mike Keller), it at all for a tethered jailbreak to become available for the hacking masses (provided you have an iOS developer account with Apple, anyway).

The tethered jailbreak by requires a Windows PC and uses software. Also, you'll need iTunes 10.3, and there are quite a few rules and regulations to get things working on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (but not the iPad 2 strangely enough), but if you're a daring iOS developer, it's doable.

So far, developers using the jailbreak have created custom text message alerts. Also, it was believed the iOS device app grid system could be broken, meaning apps could be placed anywhere on the screen. Unfortunately, pointed out that this was in fact a bug. Still, to see the strange bug in action.

Keep in mind that iOS 5 is still in beta, and is available only to registered iOS developers at this time. The rest of us will have to wait until this Fall to get our hands on it.
