Intel hat die Preise für Celeron-, Pentium-4- und Itanium-CPUs gesenkt. Außerdem hat der Hersteller das Pentium-4-Modell "530 LGA775 3600" mit der 64-Bit-Erweiterung "EM64T" im Portfolio. Für den Workstation-Prozessor ist derselbe Preis zu zahlen, wie für das vergleichbare Modell ohne EM64T-Zusatz, das ab sofort um knapp 35 Prozent billiger angeboten wird.
