In August, AppleInsider quoted Ben Reitzes, an analyst with Barclays Capital, who believed a price cut was on the horizon for the cheapest MacBook currently available on the market.

"We [...] believe the MacBook line needs to be revamped (there is only one MacBook available now, an old white model) and that we could see a lower priced line soon, positioned below the new MacBook Pro models." The white 13-inch MacBook currently costs £749 on the UK Apple Store.

Rumours of a redesigned iMac with a "thinner, organic design, likely with smoothed or rounded edges" have also been doing the rounds for the last few weeks with analysts helping to fuel claims a refresh is imminent. Observers have claimed a new look iMac could be close to the current Apple Cinema Display in design.

The reports of a new Mac mini, with faster NVIDIA graphics processor appear to be new. In March 2009, Apple updated the specs for the mini, increasing the UK price in the process, which left many potential customers unhappy despite to explain the new pricing.
