According to , Gameloft finance director Alexandre de Rochefort revealed that his company, along with many other game publishers, would be cutting Android game development "significantly." Rochefort cited low sales as the chief problem for Google's mobile operating system.

Gameloft's titles have been much higher earners on Apple's portable device according to Rochefort, as he revealed "We are selling 400 times more games on iPhone than on Android." The problem has been Google's ability to get the phone in customers, as Rochefort stated "Google has not been very good to entice customers to actually buy products."
