Invacare expects the problems to be resolved soon.

An Oracle representative said via e-mail that the company "is actively working with Invacare to help address issues with its ERP system, and the company is already experiencing system improvements."

Oracle's order-to-cash software generally works very well, and it's somewhat surprising that Invacare has had problems implementing it, said Joshua Greenbaum, an analyst at Enterprise Applications Consulting in Berkeley, California. He speculated that the problems may be related to a lack of sufficient training or testing.
