Expo Notes: MacPractice updates medical software

is showing off its updated line of medical record-keeping software at this week's , touting its new certification that lets doctors and hospitals receive federal subsidies to adopt electronic record-keeping.

The line of Mac and iOS clinical software for doctors, dentists, chiropractors, and optometrists has been upgraded to version 4.1. The centerpiece program, has been certified for clinical-quality records pertaining to weight assessment for children, preventive care and screening for tobacco use and screening, colorectal cancer screening, childhood immunizations, flu prevention, diabetes, and adult weight screening. The program has received approval from the , which is authorized to certify electronic record-keeping programs eligible for federal incentives.

Other newly upgraded programs on display at Macworld 2011 are for dentists; for chiropractors; and for optometrists. The company also has a Web interface designed specifically for  and .

All the MacPractice programs are available for viewing at Macworld booth No. 302 through Saturday.
