Eugene Kaspersky Talks to PC World

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and founder of Kaspersky Lab had a one on one chat with PC World Friday where he discussed issues such as cyber terrorism and the company's future in India. The entire interview can be accessed at .

Kaspersky Lab also announced Friday that the company is looking at India as a major market for its integrated computer security solutions and is planning to expand its operations in Asia by opening an Indian technology centre in the next two years.

According to a press release, the announcement was made at a press conference that took place in the sidelines of AVAR (Anti-Virus Asia Researchers International Conference) 2008 in New Delhi. The release claims that the Indian office would support Kaspersky Lab's strategic goal to amplify its presence in Asian markets. At present, Kaspersky Lab has direct presence in India through Zoom Technologies, as its exclusive distributor.

"The company plans to become number one in the anti-virus market in India and tap the growing market by increasing its number of partners to address the needs of its customers in India," said Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab Asia-Pacific, Harry Cheung.
