Epson launched the Epson Stylus Office range in India Thursday. In a press conference organized in Bangalore, the company announced that the new Epson Stylus Office T30, T40W, TX300F and TX600FW were the company's latest business MFDs printers engineered specifically to meet the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In addition, Epson also unveiled two sheet fed scanners, the Epson GT-S80 and GT-S50, as part of the line-up.

It was revealed at the press conference that the new line-up utilizes Epson's new Micro Piezo print head that delivers perfectly spherical dots with high precision dot placement, delivering laser-quality image resolutions of up to 5,760 by 1,440 dots-per-inch (dpi). With this new print head that sports 360 nozzles per inch (as compared to 180 nozzles previously), SMEs are able to achieve an increased printing speed - at laser default quality - of up to 2 pages per second. Epson's Durabrite Ultra, resin-coated pigment inks, were also demonstrated which ensure quick drying of ink and resistance to water and smudges. The new printers are further equipped with Epson's INKdividual cartridges which helps organizations save on toner costs. Out of the line-up of printers, the T40W and TX600FW are also Wi-Fi compatible.

The Office Stylus will be available in two weeks time and the pricing for the printers are Rs.5,299 (US$106) for the T30, Rs.6,999 for the T40W, Rs. 6,999 for the TX300F and Rs. 14,999 for the TX600FW. Among the scanners, the GT-S50 costs Rs. 29,999 and the GT-S80 costs Rs. 47,999.
