The managing director of the company responsible for the testing of the Federal Government's controversial wants the results made public.

Enex Testlab managing director Matt Tett said he would prefer the government release a report on the trial to the public so people can see the methodology used.

"I think at this stage I would definitely [want it made public], it is such a public thing it should be released. I think the minister or the minister's offices made undertakings in the past that it will be but we honestly don't know," he said. "As far as the testing goes people will see the transparency we have and it is better if it is out there."

Enex came under fire from some quarters during the trial because it was not able to release the methodology due to a non-disclosure agreement signed with the Government.

Senator Stephen Conroy has yet to say when or if he will release the pilot report despite

Tett said Enex Testlab would be happy for the methodology involved to be evaluated but it is up to the Government to decide if the report is released.
