Dunham-Bush chooses Oracle Malaysia solution

Malaysia-based air-conditioning and refrigeration manufacturer Dunham-Bush Holdings has said its investment in an Oracle Malaysia solution would help it operate in difficult economic conditions.

Dunham-Bush executive director of information management and decision support, Vlad Safyanovskiy said Oracle's enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12, would replace manual systems, as well as help to consolidate customer data into a single, enterprise-wide view across all business operations.

"Following a successful implementation of JD Edwards Enterprise One in one of our largest and most complex locations, we decided to standardise our entire global business on the ERP capabilities within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne," said Safyanovskiy. "Our evaluation process was extensive. We chose JD Edwards EnterpriseOne due to a projected lower total cost of ownership. We believe the applications will deliver the financial benefits needed to maintain our market leadership position."

Originally established 100 years ago in the UK, Dunham-Bush Holdings manufactures and distributes a complete range of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment and associated products.

Improves response times

Safyanovskiy added that the company set out to improve its sales inquiry response time, especially when receiving non-standard sales inquiries. "It also sought to streamline the interaction between its engineering and production department and the sales department to improve customer response time."
