New recruit and former ANZ Banking Group executive manager, Michael McCarthy, said his role would focus on expanding Data Agility's client base in the financial services sector.

The Melbourne-based company deploys end-to-end structured frameworks across multiple data networks. Data Agility also provides consultancy, data analysis and data management services.

"I saw this as a terrific opportunity to bring my information management experience from a large financial organization to Data Agility," McCarthy said.

He said he would aim to help financial organizations understand how they can better meet regulatory requirements through information management and coordination across data networks.

In his previous role at ANZ, McCarthy was responsible for the bank's group data warehouse which supported all business units, retail customer data mart and business intelligence applications.
