Cloud to improve learning experience for Hong Kong schools

30.06.2011
Cloud-optimised networks will greatly enhance the e-learning experience for Hong Kong students, according to global IP networking solution provider H3C.

The networks will also improve productivity for both teachers and school administrators but H3C points towards a need to upgrade existing networking architectures.

This upgrade is expected to ensure that e-learning adoption is not impeded by performance and availability issues.

H3C's product manager, Debbie Leung, emphasises that the company's cloud-optimised networks have the ability to accelerate the transformation of education from a textbook-based and teacher-centred mode to an interactive and student-centred approach to learning.

The company has also developed the virtualised network technology to facilitate the delivery of a cloud-based teaching model.

This model, emphasises H3C, encourages students to develop a self-directed learning habit in an enjoyable environment.
