Cisco releases video collaboration tools

With an eye on business collaboration and communication, Cisco has released a range of new video production products aimed at enterprise customers.

The tools will allow organisations to record and share videos and content from the vendor’s telePresence and other video endpoints, search video content and more easily deploy video content within an enterprise.

Among the announcements:

Director of ICTS at Griffith University, Bruce Callow, said the institution was evaluating Cisco's new IP Phone 8941 and 8945 endpoints to enable the afford delivery of high-quality video communications across campuses.

"We are a large multi-campus research and educational institution with five regional locations and are participating in research in many global areas,” he said. “Communication between our students, faculty and staff is vitally important to us to enhance our learning and teaching, research, and administration.

"Our faculty and staff can benefit by receiving visual cues and body language that is integral to personalised learning and research collaboration.
