The vendor has also announced plans to offer internships for 10 Australian university students annually with the aim of providing ongoing employment after graduation.

Marsha Thomson, Victorian Minister for Information and Communication Technology, said CA already employs around 150 Victorians in research and development in Mooroolbark and at Richmond where more than one-third of the Richmond staff have been hired under this program.

"Our competitive advantage in Victoria is our excellent skills base, and to have that recognized is clear testimony to that," Thomson said.

"Through its student program with our local universities, CA has formed a solid foundation for growing the company's Melbourne base."

Eugene Dozortsev, CA's eTrust Security Solutions vice president of research and development, said the aim is to provide internships for 10 university students each year with the goal to offer ongoing employment after graduation. Victoria, in particular, offers lower costs than in many other developed countries, he added.
