About 700 IT developers, experts, and managers participated in the biggest technical conference in Bulgaria, “Microsoft Days 2010”. The event took place on March 30-31 in Sofia.

The ninth edition of “Microsoft Days 2010” in Bulgaria started on March 29 in an informal atmosphere in a piano bar in Sofia. The general manager of Microsoft Bulgaria, Ognyan Kiryakov, presented the highlights of the event and some of the speakers. His short presentation was followed by a Guitar Hero contest between journalists and Microsoft employees.

The conference on the next two days consisted of six parallel sessions. The latest versions of Visual Studio 2010, Team FoundationServer 2010, .NET Framework 4 and SQL Server 2008 R2, SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010 were the main topics of the presentations.

The registered participants could choose among 50 technical lectures to attend. For the first time in Bulgaria, the event was open to anyone interested in technology and innovations. A special free zone was prepared for the people who wanted to attend the conference but have not registered for it.

This year’s conference gathered more partners than before. Ron Jacobs, Michael Hartmann, and Geoffrey Hill were among the 15 foreign lecturers. Representatives of Microsoft Bulgaria, Telerik, ParaflowCommunications, the firms Crossroad, Completit, Bulgarian Software House, also delivered presentations.

One of the most interesting lecturers by Margarita Naumova, one of the seven women in the world certified as a SQL Microsoft Certified Master. She is the founder and the leader of "Let's SQLTogether!", the Bulgarian users’ group for SQL and BI.
