BindView Development Corp. has announced the availability of Compliance Center 2.0, the latest product in the company"s next-generation policy compliance solutions.

Compliance Center 2.0 is designed to help organizations establish internal IT controls and standards for demonstrating regulatory due care, then measure results against established benchmarks. It has been certified using the Center for Internet Security"s (CIS) Level-2 Benchmarks. The new version of Compliance Center now integrates with additional system management applications and frameworks, helping IT operations automate a closed-loop lifecycle process for remediating security and compliance vulnerabilities.

BindView"s integration plan is aimed at creating plug-and-play interoperability with leading third-party products, enabling customers to incorporate BindView"s IT security and compliance monitoring capabilities into their traditional network and systems management applications and frameworks. BindView solutions now integrate with several enterprise applications and frameworks, including HP OpenView, Microsoft MOM 2005, Remedy Help Desk, and HP Service Desk.

Compliance Center helps enterprises build a foundation for securing their IT infrastructures based on industry best practices that can be tailored to fit the organization"s risk posture and business objectives. Precise reports show where an organization meets -- or fails -- established compliance standards, said Shekar Ayyar, senior vice president of product marketing at BindView.

"Compliance Center helps organizations meet strict security and compliance requirements as they prepare to endure lengthy audits and attestation sign-offs. At no time has there been greater scrutiny of back-office operations," said Ayyar. "Compliance Center helps organizations demonstrate due care by providing prescriptive guidance for configuring, securing, and remediating IT systems and implementing appropriate IT controls," he said.

Compliance Center features multi-platform support for Windows, Unix, Linux, and NetWare; creates custom templates based on established standards or internal policies; offers technical standard packages; provides comprehensive evaluations; and sends e-mail notification when evaluation results are ready.
