Best practices for the worst WLAN security

With that in mind, Stehman offered a list of the top 10 best (or worst) practices for poor security exhibited by the retailer. They include:

1. Implement a mixed WLAN environment -- multiple vendors and technology.

2. Do not provide centralized network management and/or administration.

3. Ensure that there is no documented corporate policy for WLAN usage.

4. Verify that rogue access points have easy access to the network.
