Australian startup launches Groupon competitor

An Australian startup called Bizz Buzz has launched its group buying site aimed at small businesses, guaranteeing buyers a minimum 40 per cent saving on the business services and deals it offers. The site is in indirect competition with the recently launched group buying service, which is the Australian arm of the international .

Rather than the consumer-aimed StarDeals by Groupon, targets Australian small business with productivity goods and services. Bizz Buzz's founder Marcus Layton, who also founded a dry cleaning delivery service called , believes that Bizz Buzz fills an empty segment in the Australian deal market: "Bizz Buzz deals let business owners test out goods and services to see which will work for their business before they pay top dollar. From printing, to advertising, marketing, business cards, stationery, and much more, we'll feature great deals at least twice a week to help small businesses in Australia thrive."
