Services provider ASG has won a contract to provide IT support and systems integration for the forthcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2007 Taskforce.

APEC is a regional forum to promote economic growth within the Asia-Pacific region and comprises 21 member economies and over 2.6 billion people.

The APEC 2007 Taskforce operates under the Australian Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and is responsible for logistics and planning for APEC throughout 2007, finishing with the meeting of economic leaders in September, 2007.

The contract is specifically for desktop support, project management and integration services for both stationary and mobile locations.

ASG Chief Executive Officer Geoff Lewis said the win is an example of ASG's ability to provide IT services on a national scale and is testament to the skills and experience of staff.
