Apacer AE700 Embedded Card Reader for Desktops

17.07.2009
Apacer is a company that's rather well known for its memory modules and USB drives. Building on these strengths, they've launched a new USB2.0 embedded card reader. The AE700/701 is intended to be used in a desktop PC. The two variants differ only in their length, with the AE700 being shorter, and therefore intended for smaller PC chassis', while the AE701 will fit neatly in a standard mid-tower chassis. Similar to an internal DVD drive, the reader can be attached to practically any cabinet, and the six slots and one USB port will support practically all memory card formats. It comes in black and silver, so you can match it to your case.

This reader supports M2, microSDHC, xD, SDHC, miniSDHC and MMC 4.x, among others.

Priced at Rs. 499 (US$10.25), the AE700/701 will be available in the market from today.
