Viral Views 13: Musical HTML, The Headache Machine

18.12.2010
Welcome to Viral Views, where we find the best of the Web so you don't have to. We've rounded up some great things this week that we hope you'll enjoy. Let's get started, shall we?

Ever wonder what your favorite Website sounds like? Codeorgan reads a Webpage's HTML and converts it into a musical melody. Some pages sound great (try PCWorld.com), while others sound like a band that has had a little too much to drink (I'm looking at you MySpace).

It isn't often that an Instructables project comes with this disclaimer:

"Actually building this device can lead to hearing damage, loss of balance and other inner ear problems, and a sudden loss of friends. You may also find that your pets and loved ones have abandoned you."

And yet here's one that does. Yikes.

Why would someone build this? It looks like some sort of super weapon. Note to self: Never upset the Instructables guys for fear that they will hunt me down and use it on me.

The Mushroom Kingdom gets gritty in this intense take on a classic game. You don't cross the Mario Brothers. (Note: Some language may be NSFW.)

Watch as the dog fort commander manages his rag tag group of hounds to victory. There will be more action, suspense, and dogs in funny costumes than you can shake a stick at!

This is for all you dads out there. Keep embarrassing your kids and making "gangsta" rap videos for the internet.

That's all for now folks, remember to check back here every Friday for more internet goodies and follow on Twitter for some nerdy news. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to walk my dog.

See you in 7 days!
