Kaz Hirai told OPM that Microsoft's next-generation system, the Xbox 360, is "something that lacks longevity."
After explaining how Sony's video game consoles, the PlayStation, , and PS3, are all committed to ten-year life cycles, while Microsoft's consoles don't reach half that lifespan, he said
"...you do the math."
"Unless things go really bad," Hirai said. "There's no way that at the end of a life cycle our competition is going to have a higher install base."
Hirai also revealed that Sony doesn't even consider the a real competitor to the PS3.
"they're a different world and we operate in our world."
