Another of Apple's iAd executives, Mike Owen, has departed the company. (Owen follows Apple's vice president of mobile advertising, Andy Miller, who left .) Owen is now "chief revenue officer" at L.A.-based AdColony--I feel like I would have held out for "chief profits officer," at least.

Could podcasting be getting some much-needed love in iOS 6? A report suggests that podcasts will get their own app in the next major revision to Apple's mobile operating system, as they appear to be currently missing from the iOS 6 beta's iTunes Store app. Guys, you're doing this rumormongering way too calmly; try something more along the lines of "OMG APPLE IZ OBLITERATING ALL PODCASTS."
