Well, apparently there's no escaping Facebook.

In fact, there's no escaping Gmail or YouTube either because thanks to , a company that describes itself as one "that undertakes R&D" to "indigenously provide necessary equipment" to facilitate "convergent technology", all three services will now be available for access on TV.

According to a , Logic Eastern has introduced new patented set-top boxes that let you access Facebook, Gmail and YouTube from your Television without adedicated Internet connection. In fact, the company claims, you can exploit this service without having to pay anything over your regularcable bill.

The Business Standard story explains the process behind thetechnology: Logic Eastern has set up a number of servers which will download data from the aforementioned Web sites on behalf of the users.Thereafter using already existing cellular technology, the servers will push the data to the consumers' TV sets. The end users can navigate the sites using a remote designed for that purpose but the company says that they will soon be making Wi-Fi keyboards also available.

Currently these set-top boxes are available in South Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Nagpur, Bhubaneshwar and Jammu.
