The Middle East market will have an opportunity to see some of Malaysia's ICT solutions and services, according to government agency Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC)

MDeC chief executive officer said that the Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE 2009), to be held between 17 and 19 March at Dubai Airport Exhibition Centre, was organised by MATRADE (Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation). "The success of the inaugural MSE last year has prompted more MSC Malaysia status companies to take part in MSE 2009 with 19 companies participating in the exhibition compared to 11 companies which showcased their expertise at MSE 2008."

"MSE 2009 will be an exclusive platform for Malaysian companies to cater to the needs of the public and private sector business needs in the UAE and the other Gulf Cooperation Countries," said Badlisham. "Several MSC Malaysia status companies have successfully established themselves in the Middle East countries following similar exhibitions which were previously held in the region."

Badlisham said that the success of the inaugural MSE 2008 in Sharjah had proven that the solutions and services offered by MSC Malaysia status companies are much sought after by the public and private sectors in the Middle East market.

Malaysian government agency Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) role includes the management of MSC Malaysia, which is a national initiative spearheaded by the Malaysian government to promote both the national ICT industry and provide a test-bed for the global ICT industry.
