MacScripter celebrates 10 years in AppleScripting

21.08.2009
To celebrate ten years online, has announced a major update to their longstanding AppleScripting Web site and social networking community for scripting enthusiasts.

MacScripter is aimed at providing Mac users around the world a convenient place to learn scripting, connect, cultivate relationships, and build a strong sense of community insists the team behind the Web site.

"We wish this to be nothing less than an excellent user experience for everyone," said Ray Barber, CEO and founder of MacScripter.

"It's the place to get your scripting related issues properly addressed by a terrific group of people, who have formed a community which is tough to match."

MacScripter promises a rage of resources including ScriptBuilders, Automator Actions, Code Exchange, unScripted, the AppleScript Sourcebook and more.

Among MacScripter's features are its direct support for the Applescript Protocol Link. In any post, members can click on any embedded link, and have the Applescript code passed into Apple's Script Editor for them automatically, ready to compile.

This serves as an excellent learning tool, enhances the scripting experience tremendously, and a convenient and easy way to quickly test out new ideas says MacScripter.

Users can register and post questions free, find and sort posts to commonly asked questions, and pick the brains of a community of scripters ready to help.

MacScripter is advertiser driven and donations are graciously accepted.
