All hail the Zuck: Facebook CEO Zuckerberg appears on SNL

Mark Zuckerberg, the ubiquitous CEO of Facebook, made a cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend alongside two actors who portray him.

Jessie Eisenberg, the actor who plays Zuckerberg in "The Social Network" and is up for an Oscar as Best Actor, hosted the show Saturday night and was joined onstage during his monologue by SNL regular , who was playing Zuckerberg and uttered "All hail the Zuck!"", and then by Zuckerberg himself.

Supposedly, Eisenberg and Zuckerberg had never met until then.

Before Zuckerberg came on the stage he was shown backstage with SNL Executive Producer Lorne Michaels. Watching the monologue together, Zuckerberg commented:  "Those guys are such nerds. C'mon, I invented Poking." To which Michaels replies that Zuckerberg is better off backstage.

When Zuckerberg does appear on stage with Eisenberg, the actor tells the Facebook CEO that he really liked him on 60 Minutes. Zuckerberg in turn tells Eisenberg he thought The Social Network "was interesting."

Last fall, , playing opposite Lisa Simpson in one episode. 

Zuckerberg is just 26 years old and was said to be worth $6.9 billion in the latest Forbes list of richest Americans.  While the Facebook CEO took a publicity hit with the launch of The Social Network movie about Facebook's rise and ongoing battle with the Winklevoss twins, he has also polished his image through such actions as pledging $100 million to bolster Newark, N.J. schools.

The Social Network recently cleaned up at the and is nominated for eight Academy Awards. The Oscars will be handed out on Feb. 27.
