3Com Appoints Regional Product Marketing Manager for APAC

3Com Corporation has announced the appointment of Andrew Hindmarch as Regional Product Marketing Manager for 3Com Asia Pacific. In this role, Hindmarch will lead the company's enterprise product and solution marketing efforts, focusing on market requirement, competitive analysis, market sizing, product positioning, pricing and messaging.

Based at 3Com's regional headquarters in Singapore, Hindmarch will also take charge of solution development across key technology verticals such as wireless, voice, switching, routing, security and network management, and drive marketing content development, particularly in the areas of unified communications and wireless networks. He will also ensure full field readiness of the 3Com team through sales training, field communications and sales tools development.

Hindmarch has 10 years of experience in information technology and services, and brings a wealth of knowledge about systems integration and network design and management. Previously, Andrew was the Senior Network Consultant for 3Com Australia, where he was responsible for designing complex network environments that align with customers' key business requirements and strategies.

Hindmarch joined 3Com in 2004, providing training of sales staff on 3Com products, liaising with the company's product management team, and giving technology-based presentations to systems integrators and end users.Prior to joining 3Com, Hindmarch was Senior Systems Engineer with ASI Solutions, where he was responsible for pre- and post-sales activities. His scope of work covered a wide range of technologies, including SAN, NAS, servers, desktops, wireless, unified communications, switching and routing, security, caching, content delivery, backup solutions, imaging solutions, ERP/CRM solutions and WAN optimisation. Hindmarch received his bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences from Griffith University and his advanced diploma in Network Engineering from Queensland TAFE College in Australia.
